US guides dominate the search results for listing photo sizes, and they'll quietly steer you wrong: UK portals run tighter file caps and a different aspect ratio. If you upload US-spec 4:3 photos at 2 MB you'll survive — but here are the numbers the UK portals actually want.

Note the ratio: UK portals standardised on 3:2 (the native DSLR frame), not the 4:3 the US portals use. If your photographer delivers 3:2 — most UK property photographers do — your photos display uncropped on all three portals. Why I compress before upload even with a 5 MB allowance
Rightmove re-compresses what you upload. The difference is visible on interior shots with fine texture — carpet, brick, kitchen grain.
