Resize images now

Resize any image to exact dimensions — free, instant, no upload

Set pixel dimensions, lock aspect ratio, or choose a platform preset. Processed entirely in your browser.

How to resize an image — step by step

Upload your image

Drop your JPEG, PNG or WebP file or click to browse. The image loads into browser memory — no network request is made.

Enter your target dimensions

Type the exact width and height in pixels. Use the quick preset buttons to fill in common platform sizes instantly without manual calculation.

Lock the aspect ratio

Enabled by default — changing width auto-recalculates height to maintain original proportions. Uncheck to force exact dimensions (will stretch if ratios differ).

Select format and download

Choose JPEG for photos, PNG for transparency, or WebP for web use. Click Download Resized Image — saves to your device instantly.

Why resize in the browser instead of uploading

🔒 Privacy

Canva, Adobe Express, and most online resizers upload your file to a cloud server. myPixelVault processes entirely in your browser — no image data ever leaves your device.

⚡ Speed

No upload round-trip means no waiting. A 15 MB image resizes in under one second using the Canvas API, with no network latency.

💰 Truly free

No subscription, no credits, no account. The resize tool is free for every image, every day, with no usage cap on individual processing.

🌎 Offline capable

Once the page has loaded, disconnect from the internet — the tool still works. Useful for processing images in the field or on unreliable connections.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing reduce image quality?
Scaling down has minimal quality impact — you discard pixels you do not need. Scaling up may introduce softness as the browser interpolates new pixels from existing ones. Use the Upscale tool for AI-enhanced enlargement.
Why does my image look stretched after resizing?
If aspect ratio lock is disabled, setting both dimensions independently will stretch or squash the image if the ratios differ. Enable lock, or use the Crop tool first to match the target ratio, then resize.
Which format should I choose for web use?
WebP is the best choice for web — 30–50% smaller than JPEG at equivalent visual quality, supported by all modern browsers. Use JPEG for maximum compatibility with older software. Use PNG when you need lossless quality or transparency.
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Batch resizing (50+ images, ZIP download) is coming in V2. Join the waitlist on the homepage for early access.
What happens to my image when I close the tab?
The image exists only in browser memory during your session. Closing the tab permanently clears it — no server holds a copy.
