Why exam portals reject your photo

Government and banking exam portals validate uploads twice: once against pixel dimensions (e.g. 200 × 230 px) and once against file size (e.g. 20–50 KB). A photo from any modern phone fails both — it is around 4000 px wide and 3–8 MB. Resizing alone is not enough, because a resized JPEG saved at default quality usually still exceeds the KB cap.
