Exam Form Photo & Signature Resizer — Exact KB & Pixels

Online application forms reject photos that are the wrong pixel size or over the KB limit. This tool resizes to exact dimensions and compresses to your exact KB target in one step — with presets for SSC, UPSC, NEET, IBPS and passport uploads. Nothing is uploaded; your photo and signature never leave your browser.

Resize your exam photo or signature now

Exact dimensions + exact KB in one pass

Pick a preset or enter custom specs from your exam notification. Processed 100% locally — important when the file is your own face and signature.

Why exam portals reject your photo

Government and banking exam portals validate uploads twice: once against pixel dimensions (e.g. 200 × 230 px) and once against file size (e.g. 20–50 KB). A photo from any modern phone fails both — it is around 4000 px wide and 3–8 MB. Resizing alone is not enough, because a resized JPEG saved at default quality usually still exceeds the KB cap. This tool does both operations in the correct order: it crops to the exact required dimensions first, then runs a 14-step binary search over JPEG quality to land just under your KB limit at the highest possible quality.

Because everything runs in your browser, your photograph and signature — the two most identity-sensitive files you own — are never transmitted to any server.

How to resize a photo for an online application form

Upload your photo or signature

Drop the image from your phone or scanner. It loads into browser memory only — no upload happens.

Pick your exam preset

SSC, UPSC, NEET, IBPS and passport presets fill the width, height and KB limit automatically. Or type custom specs straight from the official notification.

Resize & compress in one pass

The tool crops to the exact pixel size, then binary-searches JPEG quality to fit your KB cap at maximum quality.

Download and upload to the portal

You get a JPEG that passes both the dimension check and the size check on the first try.

Why use this instead of a random compressor site

🔒 Your face and signature stay on your device

Most "compress to 20KB" sites upload your photo to their server. This tool runs entirely in your browser — zero transmission, zero server logs.

🎯 Both checks in one pass

Portals validate dimensions AND file size. Tools that only compress leave you failing the pixel check; tools that only resize leave you over the KB cap.

⚡ Highest quality under the cap

Binary search finds the best JPEG quality that fits your limit — not a blunt 50% quality setting that makes your photo look blocky on the admit card.

📱 Works on your phone

Apply from the same phone you took the photo with. No app install, works in Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a photo to 20 KB for an exam form?
Upload the photo, choose your exam preset or enter 20 in the KB field, and click Resize & Download. The tool compresses to just under 20 KB at the highest quality possible, and crops to exact pixel dimensions if your exam specifies them.
What is the photo size for SSC online forms?
SSC typically requires a recent photo of 200 × 230 pixels in JPEG format between 20 KB and 50 KB, and a signature of 140 × 60 pixels between 10 KB and 20 KB. Always verify against the current notification.
Why does the portal keep rejecting my photo?
Almost always one of three reasons: file size above the KB cap, wrong pixel dimensions, or wrong format (PNG/HEIC instead of JPEG). This tool fixes all three in one step and outputs JPEG.
Is it safe to process my signature here?
Yes. The image is processed by your own browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. It is never uploaded, stored or logged anywhere — you can even load this page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool still works.
Can I use a phone photo of my signature?
Yes. Sign on white paper with a black or blue pen, photograph it in good light, then use the signature preset. For cleaner results crop tightly around the signature before uploading.
Does compressing to 20 KB ruin the photo quality?
At 200 × 230 px, 20 KB allows fairly good JPEG quality — small dimensions need fewer bytes. Quality only degrades visibly if you compress large dimensions to small KB targets, which is why the tool resizes first.
