Your covershot is the listing on Poshmark — it displays square in every feed and search result. This free tool fits your full photo into a 1080 × 1080 square with a white or blurred fill — nothing gets cropped off, and nothing is uploaded to any server.
The Poshmark preset is already selected. Drop, click, download, list.
Poshmark stopped being a square app in March 2026. As part of its app redesign, listing photos now display in portrait 3:4 across the feed and search. Poshmark's own announcement is blunt about it: photos are “automatically framed into portrait view”, and square covers get adjusted to fit.
That matters if you are reading a 2025-era guide telling you to square everything. A 1:1 image still works — Poshmark preserves your original and buyers see it in full when they tap through — but in the feed it gets reframed, and you are giving up screen space to sellers whose covers are already portrait. Poshmark said its own testing found the larger portrait photos drove better results.
So be deliberate about which problem you are solving. If you are shooting fresh for Poshmark, just use your phone's normal portrait orientation and skip resizing entirely — that is Poshmark's own advice, and it is correct. Use the squarer here when you are cross-listing: one square file that behaves predictably on Mercari, Depop and eBay, and gets reframed on Poshmark rather than badly cropped.
Poshmark's framing tips for the new format: centre the item vertically and horizontally, fill the frame, and leave a little breathing room at the edges so nothing important sits where the crop lands.
Straight off your phone is fine. Nothing is uploaded — it never leaves this tab.
Poshmark's preset is 1080×1080. Since March 2026 the feed reframes this to portrait 3:4.
White is the safer choice here, since Poshmark reframes the image and blur can end up cropped oddly.
Centre the item with space at the edges and it survives the portrait reframe intact.
| Platform | Square size |
|---|---|
| Depop | 1280 × 1280 px |
| Poshmark | 1080 × 1080 px |
| Vinted | 1080 × 1080 px |
| Mercari | 1080 × 1080 px |
| eBay | 1600 × 1600 px |
| TikTok Shop | 1000 × 1000 px (min 600) |
| Etsy | 2000 × 2000 px |
Since Poshmark went portrait 3:4, square is a cross-listing format rather than a Poshmark-native one. One square file behaves predictably on Mercari, Depop and eBay, and gets reframed here rather than badly cropped.
Centre the item with space at the edges and it survives Poshmark's portrait reframe intact — which is exactly what Poshmark's own framing guidance asks for.
Runs entirely in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and EXIF location data does not leave with the file.
Then skip this tool. Use your phone's normal portrait mode — that is Poshmark's own advice since the March 2026 redesign, and it is right.
