Vinted Photo Resizer — Perfect 1080×1080 Squares, No Crop

Vinted thumbnails crop to square in the feed, even though the full photo opens on tap. This free tool fits your full photo into a 1080 × 1080 square with a white or blurred fill — nothing gets cropped off, and nothing is uploaded to any server.

The Vinted photo problem

Vinted is stricter about photos than most resale apps, and the rules are about authenticity rather than dimensions. Its catalogue rules require that photos are taken by you, of the actual item — no stock images, no photos lifted from the brand's own listing, and no watermarked images. Vinted also states plainly that image editing is not allowed: the photo has to represent the item as it is.

Read that carefully before you reach for any editing tool, including this one. Resizing and padding change the frame, not the garment — the colour, condition and shape of the item are untouched, which is the thing Vinted's rule is actually protecting. Retouching out a stain or colour-correcting a fade is a different matter and will get a listing pulled. This tool cannot do either, which is rather the point.

The practical constraints: you can upload up to 20 photos per listing, and the first one has to show the whole item clearly. That first-photo rule is where square framing earns its keep — a phone-shaped photo cropped to the feed's square can cut off precisely the full-item view Vinted asks for. Listings in the 8–12 photo range tend to get the most engagement.

One more: strip your metadata. Vinted's guidance on personal data is about accounts, but photo files carry GPS coordinates from where they were shot, which for most sellers is their home.

How to resize a photo for Vinted

Drop in your product photo

Straight off your phone — which matters, because Vinted requires photos you took yourself.

Pick your platform

Vinted's preset is 1080×1080. The first photo has to show the whole item.

Choose the background

White or blurred. Neither is a watermark or overlay, both of which Vinted's rules prohibit.

Download and list

GPS and EXIF are stripped on the way out, so your home coordinates do not ship with the listing.

Why Vinted sellers use this

⚖ Framing, not retouching

Vinted does not allow image editing that changes how the item looks. Resizing and padding alter the frame, not the garment — colour, condition and shape are untouched.

📸 First photo shows the whole item

Vinted requires the first photo to show the item in full. Padding to square guarantees the feed crop cannot cut off the ends of it.

📍 GPS stripped automatically

Photo files carry the coordinates of wherever you shot them, usually your home. Output here carries no EXIF, no watermark and no overlay — all three of which Vinted's rules care about.

🔢 Built for 20-photo listings

Vinted allows up to 20 photos and rewards 8–12. Doing them in one pass keeps the whole set consistent.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best photo size for Vinted?
Vinted displays listing photos as squares — 1080 × 1080 pixels is the sweet spot: sharp on retina screens without slowing uploads. This tool's Vinted preset applies it automatically.
How do I make my photo square for Vinted without cropping?
Upload the photo, keep the Vinted preset selected, and click Square & Download. The full photo is scaled to fit inside a 1080 × 1080 square and the empty space is filled with white or a blur — nothing is cropped.
Should I use white background or blur?
White looks clean and professional and is the marketplace standard for product shots. Blurred-edge fill looks more native for lifestyle/fashion shots. Try both — it's one click each.
Will the quality drop?
No visible loss — the output is JPEG at 92% quality, higher than what the platforms themselves re-compress to on upload.
Why does Vinted use 1080×1080 square photos?
Vinted displays all listing photos as squares in the feed and search grid. 1080×1080 px fills the display at the highest quality Vinted renders. Uploading a non-square photo causes Vinted to centre-crop it automatically, which can cut the top or bottom of the item out of the listing thumbnail.
Is this really free with no watermark?
Yes. No account, no watermark, no limits. The tool runs in your browser so there are no server costs behind it.
